Friday At Fresno Flats Presents Local Horseman

“Friday at Fresno Flats” is featuring local horseman, veterinarian, poet and artist Dr. Madison Seamans for their monthly event this Friday August 10, 2012

Dr. Madison Seamans, DVM MS lives with his lovely wife, Sunny Rae, in the foothills outside of Coarsegold, California. Their family unit also includes six horses, an undisclosed number of barn cats, a few coyotes, deer, rattlesnakes and one spoiled dog, “Pippa.”

A professional horseman for over forty years, Dr. Madison Seamans practices equine medicine, surgery and dentistry in the Sierra Nevada foothills of central California, including a 24 hour mobile equine vet service.

He is a 1985 graduate of Texas A&M University, with a graduate degree from the University of Florida. He was a teaching resident at UC Davis in the 1980s, where his focus was on equine reproduction. During his tenure at UC Davis, he was an invited speaker at an international equine reproduction symposium, and authored research published internationally.

Dr. Seamans is a life-long horseman, and has experience as a farm manager, trainer and shoer. He spends his spare time (at least 20 minutes a year), painting and drawing, riding and composing what he coins “bad cowboy poetry.” He says he plans on sleeping when he’s dead.

See his website dedicated to art and poetry at madisonseamanscowboyart.com.

Dr. Seamans promises to be a very interesting guest, so don’t miss this chance to be entertained and perhaps educated. A light dinner will be provided, all for a nominal fee of $10.00.
