Fire On Highway 41 Near Black Oak Road

Aug 12 2016 Oak Incident Coarsegold 41 and 415 by Melinda GreshamCOARSEGOLD — Firefighters are on scene of a vegetation fire reported along Highway 41 near Black Oak Road just north of Road 417.

Just after 4:30 p.m., crews were called out to reports of a fire burning in vegetation. The first engine on scene reported the fire at less than one acre with one structure partially involved and several outbuildings threatened.

At approximately 5 p.m. crews were advised that Caltrans employees were on the scene of a second fire located on Highway 41 near Road 207, near the Black Hawk Lodge. At 5:10 p.m. it was determined by Air Attack and crews on the ground that no fire was burning in the vicinity of Road 207.
