MARIPOSA COUNTY — This morning a fire engine operating near the Mount Bullion area on the Detwiler Incident was involved in an accident.
At this time, the type and extent of injuries is currently being evaluated.
The firefighter was airlifted from the scene.
Since this a developing incident, and all facts are not yet known, Cal Fire asks that members of the general public DO NOT call the information line with questions.
As more information is available it will be released.
This is a reminder of just how dangerous the roadways are in the fire area.
