Fire Destroys Structure On Hogan’s Mountain Road

COARSEGOLD — Firefighters responded to a fire in the 30500 block of Hogan’s Mountain Road this evening.

Just before 7:30 p.m., a full wildland dispatch was called out to what was reported as a structure fire.

At 7:40 p.m., the first engine at scene reported one outbuilding fully involved, with about 1/4 acre of vegetation also burning.

By 7:43 p.m., the forward progress of the vegetation fire was stopped, with an estimate of about 10 minutes for containment.

The incident commander cancelled the crews and the dozers, and reduced the response of any incoming resources.

The fire was contained by 7:46 p.m., and all resources not already at scene were cancelled except one engine.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
