Family Medicine Physician Joins Adventist Health

OAKHURST — Dr. Sue Stone has joined Adventist Health / Community Care – Oakhurst East and Madera Ranchos. Dr. Stone has been practicing family medicine for 35 years.

“My approach to medicine is to first find out what’s causing the problem,” says Dr. Stone, “whether it’s diet, emotional issues, or underlying infections, and try to correct it.”

Dr. Stone grew up in Michigan, where she attended college at Kalamazoo and earned a Bachelor of Arts. She earned a medical degree from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and completed residency training in family medicine at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan.

She has experience as an Emergency Department physician throughout the Central Valley and as a holistic and integrative family medicine physician. Dr. Stone will care for patients with diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and more.

Dr. Stone has two adult children: a daughter who is in her second year of law school, and a son who is a botanist.

In her free time, she puts her California Naturalist certification to use by volunteering at the Sierra Foothills Conservancy and Yosemite National Park. Dr. Stone enjoys camping, backpacking and bird watching.

Dr. Stone may be reached at Community Care – Oakhurst East, 49063 Rd. 426, with a phone number of (559) 642-1500 and  at Community Care – Madera Ranchos, 11976 Rd. 37, with a phone number of (559) 645-4191.
