Every year on the first weekend of May, vendors, musicians and celebrants from all over the world gather in the small rural community of Mariposa for a family event that seeks to educate and celebrate the Butterfly along with the beautiful Mariposa County in the Gold Country foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Events include skydiving, 5,000 butterflies released over the weekend, art and artisan fair, kid zone with pony rides and petting zoo. Also a multi-screen showing of the Mariposa Experience film and as always, great food.
