BASS LAKE — Here’s a chance to get to know local law enforcement in a comfortable atmosphere with no agenda except a chat, a sweet treat and cuppa something good.
Sponsored by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, the community is invited to have a “Doughnut with a Deputy,” at The Pines Resort shopping center, on Wednesday, June 28, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Based on the popular “Coffee with a Cop” format, people are encouraged stop at the village, buy a cup of coffee, and enjoy a complimentary doughnut while discussing issues or just hanging out as you become familiar with your MCSO deputies.
“These events are a great opportunity to eliminate some of the communication obstacles and make ourselves available to the community to have open and honest conversations about what’s important to them,” says Sheriff Jay Varney.
