Customer Appreciation Day At Cause 4 Paws

OAKHURST — Saturday, July 15, will be a day full of customer appreciation at local thrift shop A Cause 4 Paws.

Join the party and enjoy a free hot dog and a free soda or bottled water, and meet your fellow loyal customers.

Also, a huge sale is slated for the entire month of July. Just $5 for a bag of winter clothes and winter jackets. The store will provide a large, plastic bag.

And don’t forget that all other clothing is on sale for $1.50 per piece. Both of these huge clothing discounts are valid during the entire month of July.

The store would also appreciate any volunteers who are available for sorting, testing and stocking products for the sales areas. Cleaners are also needed. You can choose your own hours and you will receive store credit for your time and expertise.

As regular customers may already know, all military personnel receive a 25 percent discount on all purchases. The only exclusions to all of these discounts are on the purchase of consignment items.

Animal lovers and others, please remember that the store is collecting empty cans, bottles and glass containers. These items will be recycled and, at the end of the month, all proceeds will be donated to the store’s spay and neuter program. Foothill residents are encouraged to collect their recyclables in plastic bags and to bring their donations any time during the month.

For every 13-gallon bag or a single equivalent donation, the donor will receive a $10 punch on their Frequent Buyer card. When the card is full, it can be traded for free merchandise at the thrift store.

The thrift shop is locally known as a cat rescue and they have found homes for more than 500 abandoned cats and kittens. They also donate a $500 college scholarship to a local graduating high school senior each year called the “Future Veterinarian Award.”

Cause 4 Paws is located at 40455 Highway 41 in Oakhurst near the Valero.
