Curry Village Ice Rink Opens For The Season

YOSEMITE – The Curry Village Ice Rink opens for the season on Friday, Nov. 20, at 3:30 p.m. Located in the heart of Yosemite Valley with stunning views of Half Dome, the Curry Village Ice Rink has been a Yosemite tradition since the 1928.

In addition to ice skating, Curry Village Ice Rink features a large fire pit with bench seating perfect for toasting s’mores, watching skaters on the ice, sipping hot cocoa or admiring the winter landscape. The Curry Village Ice Rink is a favorite for park visitors of all ages and Fodor’s Travel ranked it as one of the “15 Best Ice Skating Rinks in the U.S.” in 2013.

Daily skating sessions (subject to weather conditions) are offered from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. On weekends, the rink is open for additional morning and afternoon sessions from 8:30 to 11 a.m., and from noon to 2:30 p.m., along with 3:30 to 6 p.m., and an evening session from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

The ice skating session fees are $11.00 per adult and $10.00 per child ages 12 and under. Rental ice skates are available for $4.50 per session. Helmets are available at no additional cost.

The Curry Village Ice Rink is operated by Delaware North at Yosemite, an authorized National Park Service concessionaire, operating lodging, dining, guest recreation and transportation in Yosemite.
