Crash Blocks Highway 41 Near 22 Mile House

MADERA COUNTY — First responders are on scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 41 just south of the 22 Mile House.

At 9:45 a.m., reports came in of an accident involving up to four vehicles, with one rolled over on its side, and blockage in both lanes.

A caller reported someone with a head injury and one with a broken leg.

SkyLife air ambulance responded to the scene, along with CHP, EMS, Madera County Fire and Cal Fire.

Jennifer Rudesil, whose husband is a Sierra Ambulance paramedic, posted on SNO’s Facebook page that they stopped to help and that there are several patients in need of assistance.

Lemoore Rangel also stopped to assist and reported two vehicles hit head on, and a third — a pickup — rolled over.

Six patients were transported to Valley hospitals some with major injuries.

UPDATE: Both lanes are reopened as of 11:55 a.m.
