Craft Projects At Cause 4 Paws

OAKHURST — Local thrift shop Cause 4 Paws invites the mountain community to attend a craft class on Friday, Dec. 30.  Participants in the class will create two decorative objects to be used at home.

The first craft project will be a Puzzle Piece Picture Frame: each person in the class will decorate a plain picture frame with pieces from a jigsaw puzzle.

The second project will be making a decorated Wine Glass Candle Holder: each person in the class will turn a wine glass upside down, making a place for a candle with the globe under the candle to be decorated.

The class will be taught by Kaitlen Krusen from noon to 3 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Supplies will be provided and, say organizers, participants are welcome to bring special decorations such as ribbon or glitter.

Items from the store will be half-price if purchased for use in one of the projects.

Cause 4 Paws is both a thrift shop and cat rescue, having found homes for more than 500 abandoned cats and kittens, according to owner Vicki Deane. Cause 4 Paws annually donates $500 for their the Future Veterinarian Award college scholarship given to a graduating student at Yosemite High School as part of the community awards program.
