OAKHURST – The Sky Fire, burning north of Oakhurst, is now 95 percent contained at 500 acres.
Sky Ranch Road remains closed, as the fire area is still a dangerous place due to snags, active fire, and fire personnel working and equipment traveling along the road.
The Sky Fire transitioned to a Sierra National Forest Type 3 management organization this morning at 6 a.m.
Crews will continue fire line suppression repair and mop-up on all parts of the fire, along with suppression repair. The fire continues to cool, but some areas may still produce smoke for several more days.
One injury has been reported. No structures have been lost.
