COUNTY – Here’s a chance to meet your state legislators in a one-on-one, at three different locations in a single day this month, as Senator Tom Berryhill and Assemblymember Frank Bigelow will make three stops in the foothills on Friday, Aug. 21.
In the morning, the Senator and Assemblymember will be at the Miner’s Roadhouse in Mariposa from 9 to 11 a.m. The Miner’s Roadhouse is located at 5159 State Highway 140.
In the afternoon, the two will be hosted by the Coarsegold Chamber of Commerce with a reception from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Coarsegold Historical Village Park.
Refreshments will be available at both locations. These events provide an opportunity for community members to have a snack and talk about legislation that affects the area and local individuals.
The Coarsegold community event will be followed by the traditional Chamber of Commerce Wine and Cheese Happy Hour Mixer, complete with door prizes and entertainment by Ace and Roxy.

The Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon at the Bass Lake Conference Center Lake View Room at 12 p.m.
State Senator Tom Berryhill, State Assembly Frank Bigelow, Madera County Supervisors Tom Wheeler of District 5 and Brett Frazier of District 1 will all be in attendance for what is expected to be a lively and informative luncheon meeting.
The meal will be served at 12:15 p.m. and participants are asked to make reservations with the Chamber, due to limited seating. Lunch is $25 per person and includes Ducey’s dinner salad, meatloaf or pan roasted pork chop served with garlic mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables.
