OAKHURST — It’s time to make sure your child is safe in their car seat, and the officers of the Oakhurst Area California Highway Patrol are available to help you keep your kids safe.
On Thursday, Sept. 15, CHP officers will be at the old Blockbuster parking lot in Oakhurst from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to check your current child safety seat for defects and recalls.
Technicians will also educate adults on the proper installation methods to ensure each child is properly secured in their child seat. A limited number of child passenger safety seats will be available at no charge.
Those attending are asked to bring their vehicle, their child, and the car seat the child is currently using.
No appointment is needed. It’s time to make sure your child’s safety seat measures up!
The Blockbuster parking lot is located at 40050 Highway 49 near Jack In The Box.
