Celebrating FFA Week At Minarets

O’NEALS — The FFA organization celebrates their advocacy of agriculture annually in a week-long event known as FFA Week. February 17th-24th is a countrywide celebrated week filled with fun activities to show support of our communities, local agriculturalists, and chapter members. Members show how they have been impacted by agriculture and live the FFA Motto of Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live and Living to Serve.

Our chapter celebrates FFA in a unique way as we do it the week before because, otherwise, it takes place during our Ski Break.

During the week, members participated in dress-up assigned to specific days: Military Monday, Crazy Sock Tuesday, Ag Wednesday, Athletic Day Thursday, and finally Class Color Day Friday.

Every day at lunch, members chose to participate in the lunchtime activities including an obstacle course on Monday, Tug-o-War on Tuesday, Milk Chugging on Wednesday, Free Throw Competition on Thursday and Are You Smarter Than A Greenhand? on Friday. Additionally, there were various activities oincluding an FFA Meeting on Monday, the World Ag Expo on Tuesday, and Donkey Basketball on Thursday.

Overall this is a fun interactive week engaging not only the members, but community as well, making our school one of the many taking part in a week of advocacy and fun!
