MADERA COUNTY – Nearly 23,000 marijuana plants have been destroyed and two growers are behind bars after a nearly two-hour foot pursuit through extremely rugged and steep terrain in the foothills of Eastern Madera County. Just before dawn on Thursday, May 8, agents moved in on a marijuana garden on private land located above Raymond.

MADERA COUNTY – One of two men wanted for robbery and attempted murder in Coarsegold last month has been arrested, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office. A second suspect is still at large. Robert Lee Huber, 20, of Oakhurst, was captured late Wednesday, May 7, by Metro Police in Las Vegas. He remains behinds bars awaiting extradition.

NORTH FORK – A 20-year-old man featured in Crimes Stopper’s Most Wanted last month is behind bars after being captured this afternoon in North Fork. Kyle Thomas Clarkson was among six fugitives featured on Crime Stoppers in March. He was wanted for possession of a controlled substance and making terrorist threats.

MADERA COUNTY – Reports of attempted witness tampering led both sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers to a home in Eastern Madera County where two men were arrested.
