OAKHURST – While Sky Ranch Road (Road 632) is still closed due to fire equipment, fire crews and the danger of falling trees from the Sky Fire, the campgrounds higher up are open.
Those wishing to travel to Soquel, Nelder Grove, Texas Flat, Grey’s Mountain or any of the other campgrouds can get there from Beasore Road or Sugar Pine.
Though the exact location of the closure on the north end is not known, we have been told that people should not expect to be able to travel any farther south than the turnoff to Nelder Grove on Forest Road 6S90.
Camp Redwood and Calvin Crest remain closed.
A time for reopening Sky Ranch Road to the public has not been set at this time. We will update as more information becomes available.
