MADERA – Camarena Health will be holding its 19th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Luncheon and Raffle on Friday, Feb. 8. The purpose of this event is to raise money to support a longstanding scholarship program within local communities.
Camarena Health is offering a Tri-Tip lunch with all of the fixins’ from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Italo-American Club Hall at 331 S. “D” Street in Madera. Participants can either dine in or pick up lunches on the run.Tickets are being offered at a recommended donation rate of $10 for lunch, and raffle tickets are $1 each or 12 tickets for $10. There are over 25 items being raffled off, including an Ipod, 2 bicycles, gourmet dinner for six, and sailing/dining for two, just to name a few.
Several local dignitaries will be participating in the event and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
Camarena Health proudly awarded seven scholarships totaling $1,700 as a result of last year’s efforts, and is working toward increasing both the number and amount of scholarships this year.
