Burglary Suspect Turns Himself In

Anthony Garcia is in custody, female accomplice still on the loose.

MADERA COUNTY – Sheriff John Anderson announced this afternoon that 34-year old Anthony Garcia (aka avid Garcia), wanted in connection with a residential burglary in the Madera Ranchos, has turned himself in.

The second suspect, an unidentified female, remains at large.A television viewer called the Sheriff’s Office last night after seeing a news report about the burglary.

Detectives started their search as soon as the call came in, but the wanted man went into hiding as soon as he realized he was profiled in numerous news reports broadcast on radio and TV.

Garcia and an unidentified female were both captured on surveillance tape using credit/debit cards stolen from a residential burglary in the Madera Ranchos.

Anyone with information about the second suspect is urged to call the Madera County Sheriff’s Office at 559-675-7770; or callers can phone in anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 559-498-STOP. Information leading to her identity and arrest could be worth up to a thousand dollars.
