Bass Lake Home Tour Wows

If you like to look at properties and tip-toe around people’s houses, you’ll want to know about the 2012 Bass Lake Home Tour, taking place this Saturday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This annual event, now in its 7th year, is sponsored by the Bass Lake Lions Club and Bass Lake Realty and helps fund the Lions Club’s charitable activities. The self-guided tour starts at Pines Village next to Bass Lake Realty.Among other things, everybody is talking about the three-story, massive modern white beauty of a home that’s featured in this year’s tour. The stucco/steel/glass cubist’s dream uses state-of-the-art technology for lighting, sound and security, and is completely solar powered.

This newly constructed home near Bass Lake Heights is 6,200 square feet of “wow,” including a disco, recording studio, tennis court, putting green and kids’ water park. Don’t tell your kids or everybody on the block will want a water park. Just… shhh.

Each home on the tour is graciously provided for your viewing pleasure through the generosity of individual homeowners. Want to know who’s willing to do that? Buy your tickets in advance for $20 or pay $25 on Saturday. Either way, prepare to also enjoy a delicious meal in Pines Village, courtesy of the Bass Lake Lions, during tour hours and at no extra cost.

Proceeds from the tour this year will benefit the Madera County Sheriff’s Office “Operation Lost & Found,” a tracking system designed to find patients who suffer from short term memory loss and wander off.

For questions and ticket purchase call Bass Lake Realty at 559-642-3600 or ask your local Bass Lake Lions Club member. See you in the master bath on the third floor!Bass Lake Realty- Lions
