Bass Lake Classic Triathlon

Bass Lake Triathlon LogoThe Bass Lake Triathlon was the very first to host the National Championships for the fledgling sport of triathlon back in the early 1980’s. All these years later, the Bass Lake Classic Triathlon can hold claim to the title of one of the top triathlons in the west.

The Pines Resort at Bass Lake will be host to the competition this year, and serve as the the transition area and also the finish line. This year’s contestants will be traveling the same course as in races past.

The race starts at 7:30am on the beach in front of the Pines Resort, with the swim portion of the race in the beautiful waters of Bass Lake. After transitioning to their bikes, the riders will wind their way around the lake and through the Sierra National Forest, finishing with a run through the picturesque Bass Lake Village. Racers will be treated to roadways free of cars, and scenery second to none.

After the race, everyone is invited to enjoy Bluegrass music and a BBQ Awards Party on Saturday night.
