Badger Pass Opens For Downhill

YOSEMITE – It’s time to hit the slopes! Badger Pass opens its downhill operations for the season on Friday, Dec. 21.

The tubing hill and terrain parks will not open until they get more snow, which may come as early as Friday.

Badger Pass Ski Area is located inside Yosemite National Park on Glacier Point Road. Click for a map.

– During the season, Badger Pass Ski Area is open daily from 9 a.m .to 4 p.m.
– 10 runs: 35% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced
– 5 lifts: 1 triple-chair, 3 double-chair, 1 handle tow
– Beginner-friendly terrain park
– Elevation – 7,200 ft to 8,000 ft, vertical drop – 800 ft
– 85% of the slopes are devoted to beginner and intermediate levels – great for learning to ski or board
– Average Temperature range – 30° to 60° Fahrenheit
– Badger Pups – a downhill skiing program offering customized instruction for little skiers ages 4 to 6 years old.
