Corrine Fire Nearing Total Containment

NORTH FORK – Residents have been allowed to return home to all areas evacuated during the Corrine Fire, which is now 75 percent containment at 920 acres. There are currently 1,205 personnel assigned to the incident, with 91 engines, 38 crews, 10 water tenders, 6 dozers and 2 helicopters.

Suppression Repair Begins On Sky Fire

OAKHURST – The Sky Fire, which burned 500 acres along Road 632 north of Oakhurst, is now 60 percent contained. As fire activity decreases and some crews are released to other fires across California, those remaining will focus their efforts on fire line suppression repair work.

Firefighters Quickly Knock Down O'Neals Fire

O’NEALS – More than two dozen engines, two helicopters and two air tankers, plus water tenders and ground crews, responded to reports of a vegetation fire south of O’Neals on Sunday, June 21, about 12:20 p.m. The Red Fire is burning in the vicinity of Road 211 between Red Tail Road and Sierra Oaks Lane.

Corrine Fire Evacuations Lifted This Afternoon

NORTH FORK – Cal Fire is announcing that as of 1 p.m. today, Sunday, June 21, all evacuations for the Corrine Fire will be lifted, and residents will be allowed to return home. This includes the entire closure area on Road 222 from North Fork to Kerckoff Reservoir. All of Road 225 was reopened yesterday afternoon.

OAKHURST – The Sky Fire, burning north of Oakhurst on Road 632 (Sky Ranch Road), is now 40 percent contained, and still holding at 500 acres. Today crews will continue reinforcing containment lines, extinguishing hot spots on the fire perimeter, and working on fire line suppression repair work.

OAKHURST – The Sky Fire, burning along Road 632 north of Oakhurst, is holding at 500 acres with 30 percent containment. Crews made good progress today, keeping the fire inside containment lines and working on hot spots. There are still 200 structures threatened, though none has been lost.

NORTH FORK – Cal Fire is reporting that some mandatory evacuations implemented yesterday for the Corrine Fire will be reduced from mandatory to advisory status as of 6 p.m. today (Saturday, June 20). Road 225 will be reopened entirely and residents will be allowed to return home, and those traveling through to Mammoth Pool and Redinger will have free access.
