OAKHURST – While Sky Ranch Road (Road 632) is still closed due to fire equipment, fire crews and the danger of falling trees from the Sky Fire, the campgrounds higher up are open. NORTH FORK – Norma Jean Andera passed away on May 26. 2015 at the age of 89. She had been a resident of North Fork for 31 years. There will be a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church in North Fork on Friday, June 26, at 10 a.m. with burial following immediately at North Fork Cemetery.

NORTH FORK – Residents of North Fork are resting a bit easier as the 920-acre Corrine Fire reaches 90 percent containment. Personnel assigned to the fire has been reduced to 546, with 30 engines, 16 fire crews, 7 water tenders and 5 dozers. All air resources have been released and made available for other incidents.

OAKHURST – The 500-acre Sky Fire is now 90 percent contained, and the number of personnel assigned to the incident has been reduced to 520. Today crews will continue fire line suppression repair and mop-up on all parts of the fire. Resource Advisors from the Forest Service have identified the extent of suppression repair needed.
