Explosion In Oakhurst

OAKHURST – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office confirms that on Monday night, Feb. 2, deputies were dispatched to the Purple Cow Mall in Oakhurst regarding reports of an explosion that had injured an adult male. CHP, Cal Fire and Sierra Ambulance also responded to the incident, which was reported at approximately 11 p.m.

Fatal Climbing Accident In Yosemite

YOSEMITE – Sad news out of Yosemite National Park as rangers report a climbing accident on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 25, in which a Fresno man was killed. Cody Byers Long, 24, was climbing the Royal Arches in Yosemite when he fell more than 400 feet, according to Park Ranger Kari Cobb.
