Assistance Center For Detwiler Victims Open Again Tomorrow

MARIPOSA COUNTY — The Local Assistance Center for anyone affected by the Detwiler Fire will be open again tomorrow, Wednesday, July 26, the Mariposa High School Gymnasium located at 5074 Old Highway N from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This is a multi-agency support center for ANYONE impacted by the Detwiler Fire. Local, State and Federal agencies will be available as well as childcare.

Representative from a host of agencies will help residents connect with the following services and resources, including, but not limited to:

  • Food Assistance
  • Replacing DMV documents
  • County Non-Profit Agencies
  • Public Health / Environmental Health
  • Counseling Services
  • Human Services Programs
  • Social Security Administration
  • Agricultural Commission
  • In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)
  •  Employment Development Department (EDD)
  • State Contractor’s Licensing Board
  • Other County and State Programs

A Local Assistance Center will be scheduled within the week for North County, once evacuation status, road closures and fire status permits.

Due to space constraints, donated goods will not be located on-site, and cannot be accepted. Childcare will be available and transportation can be arranged for those with special needs.
