BASS LAKE — A young woman who died today in a tragic crash on Highway 41 between Oakhurst and Coarsegold has been identified.
O’Neill Ewell, 20, of Bass Lake was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta northbound approaching Serpa Canyon when the accident happened.
Haley Phillips, also 20, of Coarsegold was a passenger in the car and suffered major injuries. She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center.
