AAUW Backpack Project Includes Families Hit By Wildfire

MARIPOSA — The Mariposa AAUW Backpack Project gift registry website has been updated to help accommodate children whose homes have been damaged or destroyed during the fire. Children with homes damaged or destroyed in the north who attend Greeley Hill – Coulterville school in Greeley Hill will be included.

  • The drop off date has been extended to Friday, Aug. 4.
  • The drop off site will continue to be Starchman and Bryant Law Offices, 4750 Highway 49 South, Mariposa
  • 8:30 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

AAUW and community members donate items to fill the packs. To lend a hand and donate school essentials that will fill the backpacks for children who may not otherwise have them, please visit www.freegiftregistry/backpacks.

This site will give you the option to donate money or to donate specific school supplies for the project. Please take a look and see if you can find a way to help some well deserving children in our community.

There are so many kind and generous people in our friends and family groups, and they’re not limited by distance. If you have friends or family who were interested in helping but are not sure how due to distance, they are welcome to visit the site. Feel free to share the link with all, including those in need.
