Accident On Road 632 Results In Major Injury

OAKHURST – A single vehicle accident in the early morning hours on Thursday, Oct. 8, sent two young men to the hospital, one with major injuries, while a third was reported to be uninjured.

According to the CHP, at about 3:35 a.m. Coarsegold resident Dylan Anderson, 18, was driving a Toyota Tacoma westbound on Road 632 near Country Club Drive at a speed of approximately 35 miles per hour.

CHP says that Anderson allowed the Tacoma to leave the south edge of the roadway, due to being distracted by an intoxicated passenger. The vehicle collided with the embankment and overturned.

As a result of the accident, according to responders, Anderson complained of pain to his neck and was transported to St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno. Passenger Ryan Losee, 18, of Oakhurst, sustained major injuries and was transported by air to CRMC. Passenger Charles Kelley, 18, also of Oakhurst, was reportedly uninjured in the collision.

This is a preliminary report and an investigation is ongoing.
