Madera Man Convicted Of Sexual Assault

MADERA – A Madera Superior Court jury convicted Marcos Palomar, 32, of Madera, on Thursday, Feb. 14, on four felony counts of sexual assault on a child under the age of 14, according to Madera County District Attorney Michael R. Keitz.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Sally Moreno presented evidence at trial that between 2011 and 2012, Palomar repeatedly molested a child.Following the last abuse, the child reported the events to school officials who contacted the police. Palomar was then arrested and charged with the crimes.

Palomar is scheduled to be sentenced on Mar. 15, in the Madera Superior Court. He faces up to 41 years to life in state prison for the four felony convictions.
