MARIPOSA — The Mariposa Agri Nature Association (MANA) will once again host the annual Mariposa Farm and Ranch Tour, slated for Saturday, Sept. 30.
MANA is a nonprofit organization founded to promote conservation, understanding, stewardship, and enjoyment of Mariposa County’s agricultural bounty, natural resources, and scenic landscape.
The Farm and Ranch Tour is one way MANA educates the public about Mariposa’s rich agricultural heritage, its mosaic of rangelands, woodlands, native plants and wildlife.
This popular tour comprises a “trail” of usually five or six locations whose owners showcase their agricultural and/or resource preservation activities. The tour is also an economic development opportunity for the location owners. At various locations there are workshops and artists exhibiting their products and creativity.
Additional information can be gleaned from www.mariposafarmandranch.com.
There are a limited number of openings for locations, vendors, and artists. If you are interested in participating in the Farm and Ranch Tour or just have some questions, please contact Kris Casto (209) 377-8450, firstname.lastname@example.org or Susan Labozetta (209) 966-2034, email@example.com.
Enjoy a beautiful weekend in the country exploring Mariposa’s farms and ranches in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, from heirloom vegetables to wineries and roping and so much more. Also, at each location vendors and artists will be sharing their crafts.
